Volunteer Opportunities

Harvester's Backsnack Program   Help distribute food packages to classrooms every Friday during the school year.  This  volunteer position requires about 1 to 1 1/2 hours a week and may be shared with other volunteers.

Become a Tiger Friend Mentor!  The ESSD Tiger Mentoring Program matches students (K-12) with an adult mentor or Tiger Friend. It's a great way to get involved and make a positive impact on the youth of Excelsior Springs.  Tiger Friend volunteers are asked to fill out an application and a background check will be required.  Mentors meet with students once a week for approximately 30-45 mins. and a 9-month commitment (full school year) is ideal but not required.  This is a district program and volunteers are needed in each of our schools (K-12).

Tiger Clothes Closet  Come  help out in our Tiger Clothes Closet  once or twice a month!  Clothes, supplies, shoes and/or coats need to be sorted and organized.

Please call (816) 630-9260 for more information on how to become a volunteer!

A background check is required for all volunteer positions (free of charge). An application will be provided.
